How do I create my CANRVE account?

Go to Canrve.com and click Sign In on the top header menu. Click Register. If you are a homeowner, chef, event planner, or business owner, sign up as an Owner. Everyone else will sign up as a Guest.

How to reset or change my password?

To reset your password

It happens to everyone if you have forgotten your password or you are having challenges logging into CANRVE. Click this link. 

Add the email address you registered with for CANRVE, click send you, and you will be emailed a link to reset your password. 

To change your password

If you would like to change your password:

  • Go to your Dashboard, found below your name
  • Select My Profile to the far left. 
  • Under Change Password enter your old and new passwords
  • Under Change Your Password enter your old, enter new then confirm new password
  • Click Save Changes, then follow the next steps 

What if Someone asks me to pay outside of the CANRVE website?

It is highly likely that this is an attempt to conduct fraud. Please take a screenshot of the requests and alert us immediately (contactus@canrve.com).  Do not send money or provide anyone with a form of payment outside of the CANRVE platform. All CANRVE transactions are done through our web application. 

CANRVE will never ask you to pay through a third party.  

CANRVE will never ask you to provide payment details via an email communication. 

CANRVE and our hosts will never request payment via a paper invoice. 

IMPORTANT: Any reservations made outside of CANRVE’s platform between a host and guest knowingly violates our terms of service. If a booking was made through a third-party service, we will cancel the reservation and deactivate both the host/owner and the guest’s account.

What is CANRVE, and how does it work?

CANRVE, pronounced, Can-arve is short for Cannabis Rover, a powerful tool to support the growing cannabis-friendly travel industry.

CANRVE is designed to connect people with cannabis-friendly vacation rentals, businesses, and experiences provided by hosts and business owners who are eager to share their local culture and neighborhoods with like-minded individuals.

We believe that the CANRVE community is a community of sharing, educating, fostering, and building new friendships from around the world. We are a networking platform for the cannabis movement. By sharing your home and neighborhood, you help educate the community about this growing industry.

The cannabis culture is new to many but has been around for ages. We want to use our platform to build bridges between all who believe in the benefits of cannabis.

Listing with us is free when using our booking platform.

Everything necessary to manage your reservation efficiently is located on our platform. We ask that you always pay and communicate through CANRVE to be protected and safeguarded under our Terms of Service, Payment Terms, and our cancelation and refund policies. 

Unfortunately, we cannot provide benefits or assist you if your reservations are not booked and paid for on CANRVE’s platform.

Who Can Use The CANRVE website?

By visiting canrve.com, you agree that you are at least 18 or 21 years of age where applicable. The content of CANRVE is not suitable for children.

Who Can List on CANRVE

Any homeowner or business owner residing in a legal cannabis state, province or country, is welcome to list their property or service on CANRVE.  All listings are based on approval and certain requirements.

What is CANRVE’s cancellation policy?

CANRVE has chosen a cancellation policy based on scenarios and situations that may arise for both guest and host owners.

When making a reservation, the host owner’s cancelation policy is available for review before completing the booking process. The cancellation policy is also stated on your reservation confirmation and itinerary.

CANRVE Experiences include a wide range of excursions, tours, and activities that are locally hosted. We give our experience provider partners an opportunity to share what they love to do, without discrimination. Educate the public through artistry, creativity, and imagination while having fun showcasing your local community.

STEP 1 – Your Account

Create your free CANRVE account and complete your personal profile.

STEP 2 – Your Home’s Profile

Create your free HOME profile. Tell the renter WHY they should rent your home. What does it include, what makes it unique, and why do you love your home? Upload photos + a video to showcase the spaces your guests will enjoy. Be sure to include pictures of any outdoor living spaces, as many cannabis users prefer smoking outside. Look for opportunities to build additional revenue streams into your listing by adding a cleaning service or dog walker, etc.

Travel is a social industry, so we’ve offered you the benefit of being able to select what social media platforms you want your home to be easily shared on.

Once you’ve added the fun stuff to your home’s profile, it’s time to focus on the fine-print by setting your house rules, creating your availability calendar, and deciding on a price point.

We recommend using the standard industry practices on the cancellation policy, but you do have the option of editing this in your listing.

Reservation Requests and Payment For Homes and Hotels

How do I submit a reservation request?

It’s simple. Browse our collection of rental spaces and then complete the booking portal details with your dates and number of guests. If the owner allows instant bookings, you will see a “Book Now” button. If not, you will see a “Request Booking” button.

  • With Book Now – you will be instantly confirmed and brought to a payment page. 
  • With Request Booking – your request is sent to the property owner and they have 24 hours to confirm or deny the booking. You will receive an email restating the booking request you made and a second email when the owner confirms or denies the booking. If confirmed, the email will also include a payment link and you have 48 hours to make your payment.

How much time is given to a host owner to respond to a requests?

Host owners have 24 hours to confirm or deny the booking. You will receive an email when the owner confirms or denies the booking. If confirmed, the email will also include a payment link and you have 48 hours to make your payment. 

 

When are you charged for a reservation?

 If the owner allows instant bookings, you will see a “Book Now” button. If not, you will see a “Request Booking” button.

Changing your method of payment 

You may only change your payment method prior to the property owner confirming your booking request.

Am I able to check out a rental before booking?

Unfortunately, no. Most of our rental spaces are owner-occupied or occupied by other guests at all times. We offer a secure platform for communicating directly with a property owner where you can ask as many questions as you like. All CANRVE property listings are reviewed and confirmed based on owner agreements that all information and photography is accurate.

How do I check the status of my reservation?

There are two ways to check the status of your reservation:

VIA EMAIL – Your request is sent to the property owner, and they have 24 hours to confirm or deny the booking. You will receive an email restating the booking request you made and a second email when the owner confirms or denies the booking. If approved, the email will also include a payment link, and you have 48 hours to make your payment.

VIA YOUR CANRVE PROFILE under My Bookings. It will indicate the following notifications:

 

  1. Waiting for owner confirmation
  2. Approved, pending payment
  3. Approved & paid
  4. Canceled

Can I message the host owners before requesting to book? 

We offer a secure platform for communicating directly with a property owner where you can ask as many questions as you like. Prior to booking, you may click the owner’s name to view their profile and contact details. After your reservation is confirmed, you can contact the host through your My Bookings page using the send a message button.

What happens if my reservation request is denied or expires?

If the host owner denies your booking then, unfortunately, your desired dates are not available and you will need to book alternative accommodations. 

If you do not pay for your confirmed reservation within 24 hours, the booking will expire and you will need to start the process over again.

What are CANRVE’s service fees?

Listing on CANRVE is FREE for all hosts/homeowners using our reservations booking platform. We charge a minimal fee to process the reservation and keep our platform running smoothly.

Host Owner Service Fee

Hosts are charged 2.99% for each transaction. This fee is calculated from the subtotal of the nightly rate plus any additional bookable services added to the listing, but excluding CANRVE’s fees and taxes. The fee is automatically deducted from the host owner’s payout.

Guest Service Fee

Guests are charged a 6.5% fee for all reservations. This fee is calculated from the subtotal of the nightly rate plus any additional bookable services added to the listing, but excluding CANRVE’s fees and taxes.

Hotel Owner Fee

We know that hotels have much stricter cancellation policies than most individual homeowners. Therefore, we have given additional control to hotel owners in setting their pricing. Hotel owners can add an additional reservation fee on top of the 11% fee set by CANRVE for all hotels.

Fees for CANRVE’s Experience, Chef Service and Events

Business Owners/Event Hosts/Chef Fees

Listing an experience, chef service, or an event is 100% Free on CANRVE! If it is a Free experience or activity, meaning no cost to attend, our platform is all yours to get creative! We include our customization listing service for free experiences/events as well. If your listings are not Free to attend, we charge 2.99% + $0.89/ticket sales.
The fees are calculated from the total price of the experience, chef service, and event ticket price.

To cancel a reservation:

  • Go to your dashboard and choose my bookings
  • If the booking is pending payment, select cancel
  • If your booking is paid, review cancelation policy and request to cancel by sending the host a message
